My Story: Entrepreneur, Daughter, Founder
I'm an only child. For years I raised my family in California while caring for my aging parents in Canada, and running a company at the same time. I know what it's like to be the one everyone depends on, and to lose sight of yourself along the way. My parents have since passed, but their lessons about dignity and connection still guide everything I do.

What I built
In 1989 I founded MARRS Services, Inc., a project management and consulting firm serving clients like LAX, OCTA, Caltrans and the Metropolitan Water District. In 2016, inspired by caring for my parents from afar, I gathered a few friends and started Olive Community Services, a nonprofit so no senior in Southern California ages in isolation. I told that story in my book, Building Olive.
Why I coach
Success is personal. For many women it means growing a career or business while caring for family, and still having goals of your own. I help women pursue those goals with clarity, confidence and a plan that fits real life.

Method

I believe that good intentions need a plan, and a plan needs action.
My approach draws on the Best Year Yet methodology and my own experience in business and leadership.
Focus: Identify your priorities, clarify your goals, and understand what matters most.
Mobilize: Turn your goals into a practical plan and put your strengths, resources, and support to work.
Monitor: Review your progress, learn from challenges, and make adjustments to keep moving forward.
This simple framework can be applied to personal goals, business growth, leadership, and organizational development.
My Gearing for Success™ program combines the Best Year Yet® method with over 35 years of experience building businesses, leading teams, and caring for family, helping people turn their goals into clear plans and meaningful action.
